Islamabad, June 17, 2025: Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, Ishaq Dar, shared that the country will support Iran in accommodating the arrival of 20,000 Iranian pilgrims currently struck in Saudi Arabia for Hajj.

While addressing the Senate during a policy briefing, Dar stated that Iran had officially asked Pakistan’s cooperation due to the ongoing closure of air travel amid Middle-East conflict. In reply, Pakistan has pledged to provide visa-on-arrival services when the pilgrims will land in Karachi.

Moreover, full arrangements have been put in place to ensure the pilgrims can continue their onward travel without obstacles.

“The airspace is currently closed, and Iran has reached out for assistance. We have assured them that upon their arrival in Karachi, the pilgrims will receive visa-on-arrival facilities, and all logistical arrangements have been made,” said Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
