Pakistan will launch an advanced hyperspectral satellite next month to strengthen mineral exploration and support research in agriculture, forestry, wildlife, flood monitoring, glacier melt, and pollution control.

SUPARCO Chairman Muhammad Yousaf Khan said the Pakistan hyperspectral satellite, scheduled for October, will study light wavelengths reflected from Earth to provide precise data on minerals, soil, vegetation, and water quality.
