Pakistan is making progress in the field of satellites, with a plan to launch three more satellites already prepared. According to SUPARCO officials, these three satellites will be launched within the next six months.
These are high-resolution Earth observation satellites that will enable day-and-night imaging processes. With their help, Pakistan will be able to acquire more accurate data related to the environment, climate change, and other matters.
Currently, four Earth observation satellites are already in Pakistan’s orbit. Data regarding floods has been shared with provincial governments, and since August 27, data has been regularly shared with the Punjab government.

SUPARCO officials further stated that a cloudburst in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa occurred in a very short time, but research on it has been initiated. In the future, timely alerts will be possible shortly before such cloudbursts occur.
