The government has announced that Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen will be observed across Pakistan from the 1st to the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal with great devotion. A series of national and provincial programs will be held this year to mark the 1,500th birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, chaired an inter-provincial meeting in Islamabad to finalize arrangements. He announced that the Ministry of Religious Affairs will organize the 50th International Seerat-un-Nabi Conference in Islamabad under the theme. “The State’s Responsibility in Educating and Training Youth for the Constructive Use of Social Media in the Light of Seerat-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).”
He said the commemoration of Ashra Rahmatul-lil-Alameen will provide the younger generation with opportunities to learn from the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Special Seerat gatherings will be arranged by provincial and local governments while schools, colleges, universities and religious seminaries will organize programs where students can share their reflections. Resolutions passed by the National Assembly and Senate will guide these nationwide activities.
Sardar Yousaf stressed that modern challenges in education, economy and family systems must be addressed in the light of the Prophet Sunnah. He noted that in today digital era, social media can play a vital role in spreading the Prophet universal message of peace, guidance and humanity.
