The game resulted in a 2-2 tie after sixty minutes of play, with goals from Salman and Shahbaz Ali for the Pakistan Under-15 team. After that, the match proceeded to penalties, when Pakistan lost a critical opportunity, allowing KFUM-Kam Oslo Bla to prevail and take home the trophy.
Better Future Pakistan showed remarkable abilities throughout the tournament, scoring 35 goals and giving up just four in nine games, despite the defeat.
The U17 division semi-finals on Friday also saw a devastating loss for Muslim Hands FC, the Pakistan Street Child Football Team. They fell in a penalty shootout versus Forde, Illinois.
Pakistan let up a goal early on, but they rallied well and equalized in the second half to finish regulation time at 1-1. Pakistan lost a crucial opportunity in an exciting penalty shootout, and Forde IL took advantage to book their place in the championship.
The Pakistan U-17 squad finished the tournament last year unbeaten and with clear wins over every opponent, although they lost the championship match against Sola FK on penalties, 10–9.
