Islamabad, July 21, 2025: In a major leap toward digital policing and women’s safety, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi inaugurated Pakistan’s first Online Women Police Station and unveiled the 1Info mobile app during a visit to the Safe City Headquarters in Islamabad.
This groundbreaking initiative is aimed at empowering women and modernizing Pakistan’s law enforcement infrastructure. The Online Women Police Station will operate through a dedicated 1815 helpline, with all-female staff including call operators, response officers, and investigators, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for complainants.
At the same event, the 1Info mobile application was introduced, providing Islamabad residents with a fast, secure way to report emergencies directly from their smartphones. The app is designed to improve coordination between the public and law enforcement by reducing response times and streamlining complaint procedures.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Naqvi praised IGP Islamabad Ali Nasir Rizvi and the police department for their efforts in integrating citizen-focused technology into policing systems. He emphasized that these steps are part of a broader strategy to ensure women’s protection, improve public trust in police, and promote digital governance.
