Islamabad, 8 May, 2025: Pakistan Weather Alert The national weather service has issued a fresh update predicting mixed weather patterns across various regions of the country over the next 24 hours.

While some areas will remain dry, others should brace for thunderstorms, heavy showers, and even hail.

The Meteorological Department has indicated that Islamabad and nearby regions are expected to receive bursts of rain accompanied by thunder.

Residents in the federal capital have been advised to stay alert for changing weather conditions.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, skies will remain mostly overcast, with rainfall likely in several hilly areas including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Shangla, Kohistan, Malakand, and Mansehra.

These regions may also see gusty winds and possible lightning activity.

Meanwhile, Punjab will experience hot and dry weather in many districts, but lighter showers are expected in the northern belt, particularly in Rawalpindi, Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Talagang, and Mianwali.

Down south, Sindh will see a mix of sun and clouds, although Tharparkar and Mirpur Khas may witness rain with thunder. The rest of the province is likely to stay dry but slightly humid.

Parts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Chaman, Ziarat, Barkhan, and Sibi, are forecast to have partly cloudy skies with chances of rain and thunder.

The change in weather could affect daily routines, especially in mountainous terrain.

In the northern territories, Gilgit-Baltistan and Azad Jammu & Kashmir are likely to experience strong winds, rainfall, and localized thunderstorms.

The Meteorological Department has once again urged citizens to keep monitoring official forecasts, avoid unnecessary travel in affected areas, and follow safety measures during extreme weather.
