Islamabad, Aug 4: Saqlain Syedah, Pakistan’s ambassador to Germany, underlined Pakistan’s resolve on Wednesday to help the Kashmiri people in their quest for self-determination on a moral, political, and diplomatic level in accordance with UNSC resolutions.
She gave a heartfelt tribute to Syed Ali Shah Gillani’s unwavering commitment to the fight for the freedom and right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people while presiding over a webinar hosted by the Pakistani Embassy in Berlin to mark the third anniversary of Gillani’s passing. She said that Gillani will always serve as a ray of hope for the people of Kashmir.
Zahid Hussain, the Pakistani consul general in Frankfurt, also expressed gratitude to Syed Ali Shah Gillani. Well-known Kashmiri activists and leaders, such as Imtiaz Iqbal Wani, Mrs. Shamim Shawl, Ali Raza, Ms. Mushall Mullick, Shaikh Abdul Mateen, Abdul Hameed Lone, and Altaf Hussain Wani, shared their thoughts on Gillani’s legacy and reaffirmed their dedication to carrying on his work in support of the people of Illegally Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
Additionally, in line with resolutions adopted by the UN Security Council, they urged the international community to acknowledge the critical need for human rights and peace in IIOJK.Speakers expressed gratitude to Pakistan’s ambassador and embassy in Berlin for their successful promotion of the cause of Kashmir.
