Islamabad, Sep 9: In a ceremony held in honor of Defence Day, the Pakistani Embassy in Rabat reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to defense while also honoring the bravery and sacrifices made by Pakistani soldiers in defending the country’s boundaries and sovereignty in the 1965 war.
A number of international diplomats and community leaders attended the solemn ceremony, which promoted harmony and collaboration. A press statement states that additional government officials, including Morocco’s Minister of Justice Abdellatif Ouahbi, Ambassador/Chief of Protocol Anas Khales, and others, attended the ceremony.
In his speech, Pakistan’s ambassador to Morocco, Mohammad Sami, called on the Muslim and Arab worlds to take notice of the serious human rights breaches and atrocities that India has been doing in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, as well as the ongoing violations in Gaza and Palestine.
He praised the Pakistan Army’s outstanding history and its crucial contribution in preserving world peace as a result of its involvement in UN peacekeeping operations. He also emphasized how the Pakistan Army’s valor and sacrifices in the fight against terrorism have been recognized on a global scale. The Pakistan Army has consistently shown its steadfast commitment to defending the nation and its citizens by being among the first responders in both natural disasters and national emergencies.The cutting of a cake with the colorful flags of Morocco and Pakistan on it, as a poignant reminder of the two countries’ unwavering friendship and unity, was one of the event’s highlights.
