Securiti, a data protection and cybersecurity company founded by Pakistani entrepreneur Rehan Jalil, has been acquired by Seattle-based software firm Veeam for $1.725 billion.
The deal marks one of the largest global acquisitions involving a Pakistani tech founder. According to a statement, both companies will now work together to strengthen global data security and help businesses manage, protect, and recover critical information during cyber threats or system failures.
Following the transaction, Rehan Jalil will join Veeam as President of Security and Technology. Jalil previously established several successful companies, including Elastica and WiChorus, both of which were later sold to major international corporations.

He is a graduate of NED University Karachi, and his success story highlights the growing presence of Pakistani talent in the global technology sector.
