Islamabad, Aug 24: The second-tier Azerbaijani club Difai Agsu and well-known Pakistani football players Adeel Younas and Waqar Baloch could not come to an agreement on Saturday.
According to sources, the deal fell through because both players’ negotiations broke down at the same time because one of them didn’t think the offer from the Azerbaijani club was attractive.
The two Pakistani football players were anticipated to sign a package agreement with Difai Agsu, which would have been a big step forward for their international careers.
The talks, however, came to a stop when one player refused to accept the terms, which had an effect on both players’ possible transfers to the Azerbaijani football team.
Adeel Younas, a forward for Popo Football Club famed for his goal-scoring prowess, and Waqar Baloch, a resilient defender with international experience, were reportedly in talks for a possible transfer with the
Azerbaijani team before to the collapse, according to sources close to the negotiations.Younas was anticipated to bolster Difai Agsu’s attack. Under head coach Stephen Constantine, Younas has already made four appearances for the Pakistan national team.
In the meanwhile, Baloch was ready to strengthen the team’s defense after the deal came through, having demonstrated his defensive prowess as a center-back in games against Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.
