Islamabad, 10 May, 2025: Amid escalating tension between Pakistan and India, unconfirmed reports have emerged that Indian Air Force Squadron Leader Shivangi Singh, the country’s first female Rafale pilot, has been taken into custody by Pakistani forces.

Media reports claim that Shivangi Singh was arrested in Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, during an aerial confrontation near the Line of Control. Moreover, Pakistan Air Force has shot down two Indian military aircraft during the encounter.

The situation is developing, and more information is expected as there has been no official confirmation from either side regarding these claims.

In the early hours of Saturday, Indian forces had launched missile strikes In Pakistan targeting three of its airbases: Nur Khan near Islamabad, Murid in Chakwal, and Rafiqui in Jhang.

While Pakistani officials claim that most of the missiles were intercepted, the attacks have been described as a significant provocation.

“India, with its naked aggression, has attacked with missiles. Noor Khan base, Murid base, and Shorkot base have been targeted,” DGISPR Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said. “Now you just wait for our response,” he warned India.

In response, Pakistan initiated a counteroffensive named “Operation Bunyan Ul Marsoos,” targeting Indian military installations, including the Pathankot airfield and Udhampur airbase.

The operation is Pakistan’s retaliation against India unprovoked aggression.
