Islamabad, May 9, 2025: Pakistani security forces shot down four Indian drones near Okara on Friday.
Security forces professionally shot down drones entering four areas of Okara.
Indian drones were shot down in different areas of Okara.
Explosions were also heard as drones crashed in Okara.
No loss of life or property occurred due to the drone aircraft in Okara.
Local people at the scene chanted slogans in favor of the Pakistan Army.
Thanks to the timely action of the Pakistan Army, no damage occurred.
The drones were intercepted over villages 15-4-L and 11-4-L, and the debris was recovered from nearby fields.
A similar incident occurred a day earlier in Narowal’s Jasar village, where another Indian drone was destroyed.
These incidents follow a sharp rise in cross-border drone activity.
On Thursday, India launched over 20 drone strikes across Pakistan.

The attacks killed three civilians and injured several others, including four soldiers.
With drone technology becoming more accessible and precise, Pakistan’s prompt responses signal a zero-tolerance approach toward safeguarding its airspace.
Citizens and defense experts alike are now urging international bodies to mediate and prevent further escalation.
Out of the 6 drones, 1 was shot down in Vehari, 1 in Pakpattan, and 4 in Okara, according to security sources.
A total of 35 enemy drones have been destroyed so far, security sources said.
All drones were continuously being monitored on radar, said DG ISPR.
“Whenever a drone enters, it is constantly visible on radar,” said DG ISPR.
“Our air defense system has the capability to track even small drones,” DG ISPR added.
“There is an operational procedure for shooting down drones in areas with civilian populations and commercial flights,” DG ISPR explained.
