Islamabad, July 3, 2025: Five brilliant young Pakistani scientists are making the nation proud at the 74th Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting (Chemistry), currently being held in Lindau, Germany, from June 29 to July 4.
This prestigious international event brings together over 600 emerging researchers from around 60 countries, along with 30 to 40 Nobel Prize winners, fostering a powerful platform for global scientific exchange and innovation.
According to an official statement, the selected Pakistani scholars are actively participating in knowledge-sharing sessions and scientific discussions with Nobel Laureates, strengthening Pakistan’s scientific footprint on the world stage.
The Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences (PIEAS), under the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission, in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission (HEC), has been leading the selection process for Pakistani representatives for the past 22 years.
The five young scientists representing Pakistan this year are:
- Bisma Khanam – Government College University, Lahore
- Mah Jabeen Hassan – H.E.J. Research Institute of Chemistry, Karachi
- Dr. Bibi Amna – Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad
- Dr. Tabassum Malik – University of Peshawar
- Palwasha Khan – COMSATS University, Lahore Campus
Their participation showcases Pakistan’s commitment to scientific excellence and highlights the increasing visibility of Pakistani researchers in global science forums.
