Islamabad, Oct 17: Pakistani Startups Join Google’s First Ever AI Academy in Asia Pacific
Among the 23 companies selected from Asia-Pacific (APAC) to take part in Google’s inaugural AI Academy in the area are two creative businesses from Pakistan.
The program, which aims to assist startups in honing their AI solutions and accelerating their business growth, began this week in Singapore with an engaging three-day boot camp that brought together all of the participating founders from Pakistan as well as six other nations: Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Program participants will get up to $350,000 in Google Cloud credits, more than 170 hours of specialized mentoring from AI and Cloud specialists, and chances to network with other AI innovators in the Asia-Pacific area.
With its AI-powered credit scoring system, Pakistani company AdalFi is expanding access to financial services and fostering financial inclusion for millions of people and small enterprises.
Adlytic AI, on the other hand, is improving retail analytics by turning CCTV cameras into smart business tools that enable merchants to make greater use of geographical and visual data to expand their operations. These firms are advancing AI innovation in Pakistan and bolstering the thriving AI ecosystem in the area.
The AI Academy culminates in December with a Graduation Day, where startups will showcase their refined AI solutions to investors, entrepreneurs, and AI industry leaders.
