VC DUHS I’m hoping that everything will work out and that we can help improve the treatment of TB patients not only at this hospital but also nationwide. Furthermore, an integrated outpatient department (OPD) for tuberculosis patients was previously built so that patients may receive treatment under one roof, according to Director of the OICD Prof. Iftikhar Ahmed.
He added that the World Health Organization and OICD are working to improve access to TB Preventive Treatment (TPT), and that the construction of this intensive care unit (ICU) with contemporary amenities is a step toward providing all the facilities for TB patients in a single facility.
In Pakistan, there isn’t an intensive care unit like this for TB patients. Other general patients cannot be admitted to an intensive care unit (ICU) once TB patients have been admitted there, according to medical professionals.
