KARACHI – August 21, 2025: The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) saw a slight increase of $13 million on a weekly basis, according to data issued by the central bank on Thursday.

As per the latest figures, on August 15, 2025, the foreign currency reserves with the SBP were recorded at $14.256 billion, up from $14.243 billion on August 08, 2025.

Meanwhile, the country’s overall liquid foreign reserves, which include net reserves held by commercial banks, reached $19.571 billion, reflecting a rise of $74 million compared to the previous week.

The net reserves held by banks stood at $5.315 billion, registering an increase of $61 million during the same period.
