Pakatan’s local mobile companies manufactured/assembled 3.59 million units during July 2025, up 123% year-on-year (YoY) and 64% month-on-month (MoM), according to latest Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) data.

In a note, brokerage house Topline Securities attributed this growth to low base effects.

Topline said the YoY growth stems from a low base in July 2024, when sales declined due to excessive pre- buying in Jun 2024 ahead of expected changes in the budget.

Similarly, the MoM growth is driven by a low base in June 2025, when supply chain disruptions amid regional conflicts reduced volumes to 2.19 million units.

During 7M2025, locally manufactured/assembled mobile phone sales stood at 17.83 million units, down 6% YoY.

Pakistan fulfilled 95% of its mobile phone demand through local manufacturing/assembly during 7M2025, the brokerage house said.
