The National Logistics Corporation (NLC) has launched a new maritime container service linking Pakistan with China and Malaysia through a modern sea route. This new shipping service marks a major step in boosting Pakistan’s regional trade and expanding its logistics reach in Southeast Asia.

The first cargo vessel under this service has successfully arrived at the Karachi Port, carrying goods from China and Malaysia. The ship will operate between Port Klang (Malaysia), Qingdao, Ningbo, Jebel Ali, and Karachi, connecting key regional ports under a fixed schedule.

For the first time in Pakistan, NLC has deployed a vessel with a capacity of 2,500 TEUs on this route, promising faster and more efficient cargo movement by sea. A special ceremony was held at Karachi Port to celebrate the launch, attended by officials from NLC, KPT, KICT, APL, and representatives from the business community.

The expansion of this sea service aims to strengthen regional connectivity and promote trade with Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Exporters and importers will benefit from guaranteed cargo space, reliable schedules, and convenient payment methods.
