Islamabad, 31 May 2025: Pakistan pre-Hajj flight operation has concluded today (Saturday), completing the government’s efforts to transport pilgrims to Saudi Arabia for Hajj 2025.

Speaking to Radio Pakistan from Makkah, Secretary for Religious Affairs, Dr. Syed Ata ur Rehman, stated that more than 87,000 pilgrims have arrived in Saudi Arabia through the official Hajj program, while an additional 21,984 made the journey via private arrangements.

The remaining five flights departing from Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore are scheduled for today, officially ending the airlift phase.

Dr. Rehman highlighted improvements introduced for the pilgrims’ comfort during the key Mashair days. These include upgraded sleeping setups with sofa-cum-beds instead of conventional floor mattresses, air conditioner facilities and coolers, as well as additional services such as shoe and luggage racks to improve convenience.

He restated the government’s dedication to ensure a peaceful, well-managed pilgrimage and urged Pakistani pilgrims to abide by Saudi regulations and act in ways that reflect positively on their homeland.
