Islamabad, May 22, 2025: In a startling twist, seasoned actor Paresh Rawal Hera Pheri 3 unexpected exit has not only taken fans by surprise but has also left a strong emotional impact on his fellow cast members, particularly Akshay Kumar.
Although Rawal didn’t provide a definitive explanation for stepping away, sources indicate he “no longer felt inclined” to continue with the iconic series.
Now, director Priyadarshan, who was ready to direct the film with the celebrated trio of Akshay, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal, has broken his silence and the revelations behind the scenes are more heartfelt than expected.
Speaking in an interview, Priyadarshan disclosed that all three stars had finalized their agreements and had even filmed a teaser together. “All our contracts were signed. Ten days ago, Suniel, Akshay, and Paresh shot a scene and the IPL teaser. It was only after we unanimously agreed to do Hera Pheri 3 that Akshay bought the franchise rights,” he explained.

However, the filmmaker also recounted a touching conversation with Akshay following Rawal’s decision to exit. “Akshay had tears in his eyes when he asked me, ‘Priyan, why is Paresh doing this to us?’” he shared “Akshay shouldn’t suffer financial losses because Paresh walked out on a whim. I understand that he will have to take whatever action is required.”
Reports now suggest that Akshay Kumar may be preparing to pursue legal action, potentially filing a lawsuit against Paresh Rawal for ₹25 crore.

While there were whispers that Rawal exited due to a less significant role, the actor has denied any disputes over creative input. Defending Akshay, Priyadarshan said “With me, Akshay has never cut down anybody’s roles. He does not interfere with a director’s vision at all.”
The emotional weight of the situation has also affected Suniel Shetty, who admitted he felt “energized” for the project and deeply saddened by Rawal’s exit. Still, Shetty remains optimistic, noting that Paresh has agreed to meet him privately for a heartfelt discussion.
