ISLAMABAD – June 14, 2025: A Serene Air flight departing from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport faced major delays after it failed to take off three times early Saturday due to a technical fault. The repeated failed takeoff attempts caused hours-long delays and growing frustration among passengers.
Originally scheduled for departure at 4 a.m., the flight was eventually rescheduled for around 1 p.m., leaving passengers stranded in the departure lounge for nearly nine hours. During this time, many passengers were seen moving between airline counters, demanding answers and updates. Tensions flared as heated arguments erupted between travelers and airline staff over the lack of timely information and accommodations.

Serene Air later issued a statement confirming the delay, attributing it to a technical issue with the aircraft. Airline officials assured that maintenance teams were working diligently to resolve the issue and that the flight would only depart once it was deemed completely safe.
Passengers expressed frustration not only over the delay but also the lack of communication and customer service during the extended wait. Some even questioned whether the flight should proceed if such repeated technical issues persisted.
The incident has raised concerns over aircraft maintenance standards and passenger safety, prompting calls for stricter oversight and more transparent handling of flight disruptions.
