Islamabad, Aug 12, 2025: The celebrations of Independence Day are well underway in Karachi, and government hospitals are touring white and green lights as doctors and nurses organize special occasions with the pride as well. The National flags and lanterns have been decorated at the Civil Hospital and Karachi Institute of Heart diseases and the flag-hoisting ceremonies and national songs are to be planned on August 13.

By August 13, citizens are invited to share their photos and videos of décor with the divisional committee, and by September 9, these winners will be proposed to be recognized by the provinces.

Actual celebration is not about holding the flag; it is caring, being aware, and supporting others so that they can be granted the same freedom. Tiny acts, small but meaningful rituals such as exchanging know-how or volunteering at the community level, can reverberate over time and pay off.
On this Independence Day, the people of Pakistan should not forget to cherish the freedom they have and at the same time support those who still do not have it yet. Safeguarding our own freedom and being able to advocate on others behalf can bring the world to the point where each nation will be rejoicing peace and independence.
