Islamabad, Aug 26: Mohsin Naqvi, the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), made it plain on Monday that he has no plans to leave his role until he has resolved the difficulties in cricket.
Speaking to the media in Lahore, Naqvi emphasized that he will not allow outside forces to dictate his departure and stated his resolve to elevate the status of sport in the nation.
Naqvi expressed his disappointment with the national team’s performance in the most recent Test match, which ended in a 10-wicket loss for Pakistan at Pindi.
He acknowledged the team’s weaknesses and said that, within the following few days, a report on the pitch conditions is anticipated.
Speaking about the match schedule, Naqvi explained that the decision to postpone the match in Karachi had been made before he was involved, but he later changed his mind.
He also emphasized the necessity of having the right equipment and supplies on hand to do the required “surgery” and address the problems with Pakistani cricket.
Naqvi stated that there will be a chance to find and develop fresh potential at the next Champions Trophy.
He emphasized the significance of making sure backup players are prepared to step up when necessary and choosing individuals on the basis of quality.
