The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is considering scheduling the next season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) in April and May 2026, following the holy month of Ramadan.
Reports also suggest that two new teams are likely to be added to the tournament.
According to media sources, several matters between the PSL franchises and the PCB are still unresolved, and no formal meeting has yet been held to finalize details for the upcoming season.
Holding the league earlier in February or March appears unlikely due to the ICC T20 World Cup, which will take place in the first half of the year. Pakistan is set to face Australia in a three-match T20 series, followed by a two-Test series against Bangladesh, as part of World Cup preparations.
After the T20 World Cup and PSL, Pakistan will play three ODIs against Australia, before touring Bangladesh and Zimbabwe for additional ODI and T20 series.

Given the busy international calendar, the PCB is now exploring April–May 2026 as the ideal window to host the next PSL season, with plans to expand the league to eight teams.
