The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Monday suspended its Director International, Usman Wahla, for failing to take timely action against the match referee and the Indian team’s conduct during the Asia Cup.
According to media reports, Wahla was held accountable for not promptly addressing the behavior of the Indian players and referee Andy Pycroft, who allegedly stopped players from shaking hands after the match.
Reacting to the matter, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi voiced strong displeasure, emphasizing that Pakistan’s dignity is paramount.“For me, nothing is more important than my country. The honor and dignity of Pakistan cannot be compromised,” Naqvi said.
