ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 16: Lahore: Chairman Mohsin Naqvi has given his final clearance for the redesigns of Gaddafi Stadium, National Stadium, and Rawalpindi Stadium, as reported on August 16. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has proposed a substantial upgrading project for these venues.
According to the specifics, the goal of this project is to update these important cricket grounds in time for the next Champions Trophy. Naqvi recently visited the offices of BDP, a well-known worldwide stadium design company, in the UK. There, he was given an update on the status of the improvement work and seen the final design designs.
Naqvi was pleased with the designs and gave the design team credit for their excellent job. “I’m sure our team can rise to the challenge and finish the projects on time, but completing these upgrades on time is a significant challenge,” Naqvi said.
He guaranteed that the stadiums will satisfy the high standards needed for the important event and be ready well in advance of the Champions Trophy. Naqvi affirmed that he is directly supervising the work to guarantee its prompt completion. The facilities will be much improved by the renovations, which will raise them to international standards and put them in a position to host elite cricket matches in the future.
