The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an important monsoon rain alert for the province’s upper districts. According to the latest update, heavy rainfall and possible flooding are expected from August 19 to 22, 2025.

DG PDMA, Irfan Ali Kathia, has directed all district administrations including Murree, Chakwal, Gujrat, Sialkot, and surrounding areas to remain fully alert. Flash floods and overflowing streams may affect hilly and low-lying regions. Citizens are strongly advised to avoid unnecessary travel and stay away from electric poles, rivers, and nullahs during thunderstorms.

The alert also warns of expected rainfall in D.G. Khan, Multan, and Rajanpur. Local governments and rescue authorities have been instructed to ensure timely relief measures, while citizens are urged to cooperate with the administration.
