Peshawar Zalmi are once again giving back more than just cricket by announcing a special charity since match that will take place on August 30 at the Imran Khan Cricket Stadium. All the amount collected as tickets will go directly to flood relief and rehabilitation efforts across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The news was announced by franchise owner Javed Afridi, who underlined that it is an endeavor bigger than the game itself. He promised that all the money generated during the fixture shall be used in assisting the families hit by the devastating floods. Any ticket would help One hundred percent of the proceeds will be directly reached to flood victims,” Afridi said, and with appeal to the masses to come out in large numbers to demonstrate unity.
The verdict has been overwhelmed by a round of applause among the fans and social groups that appreciate the long-term practice of the franchise linking sport with social responsibility pursued by Zalmi. At this point, they give shelter, food, medical care and their main concern is giving long term rehabilitation to the displaced family.
