The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) enforcement teams conducted operations in various areas of Lahore and seized 9,720 litres of oil, 2,200 kilograms of dead chicken, and 500 litres of adulterated milk.
According to the authority, a vehicle bearing registration number LES-3461 was intercepted for transporting dead chickens. The vehicle was impounded and an FIR was registered against the accused.
In Shah Fareed, Sabzazar, a milk shop was sealed after on-the-spot testing confirmed adulteration. The substandard milk was discarded and a separate FIR was registered.
The PFA Director General said the milk failed to meet the prescribed standards, while the poultry supplier could not provide the required documentation for lawful transportation. A veterinary specialist examined the recovered poultry and confirmed that the chickens had died prior to delivery.
