The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) has inked two pivotal agreements with the Civil Aviation Training Institute (CATI) Hyderabad and the Pakistan Airport Authority (PAA) to modernize operations and fast-track digital transformation in aviation training.
A press release issued on Wednesday outlined the initiatives, which include rolling out a Training & Campus Management System to simplify academic and administrative tasks, alongside PayZen, PITB’s cutting-edge digital payment platform.
PayZen will enable fee payments via mobile banking, ATMs, and debit/credit cards, offering real-time dashboards to enhance transparency and streamline financial oversight. The agreements were formalized by PITB Director Development & Procurement Ata-ur-Rehman and Deputy DG Works & Development/Director (CATI) Engr.
Sumair Saeed, with senior officials in attendance, including PITB DG IT Solutions Waqar Naeem Qureshi, ADG Syed Qasim Ifzal, Director Shahid Akram Khan, Joint Directors Syed Ijlal Hussain and Muddasar Paracha, and CATI representatives Taha Ahmed Iqbal, Arshad Ali, and M. Saqib Butt.

During the event, the PITB team presented an in-depth overview, showcasing workflow automation and AI applications in aviation. PITB will also provide thorough training and continuous support to CATI staff to ensure a secure and effective rollout of these digital tools. PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf remarked, “Automating academic, administrative, and financial processes not only boosts efficiency but also lays the groundwork for innovation-led progress in the aviation industry.”
