Google has started rolling out a fresh firmware upgrade for the Google Pixel Buds Pro 2, introducing powerful new features designed to improve user experience.
The update, version 4.467, delivers Adaptive Audio, Loud Noise Protection, smarter head gesture controls, and a more refined Gemini Live interaction.
This makes the Pixel Buds Pro 2 even more competitive in the premium wireless earbuds market.
What’s New in the Update?
1. Adaptive Audio for Dynamic Listening
With Adaptive Audio, the earbuds intelligently balance sound by reducing distracting background noise while keeping you aware of your surroundings. Whether you’re jogging, commuting, or working out, you’ll enjoy clear audio without losing awareness of what’s happening around you.
2. Loud Noise Protection
The Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 now automatically lowers sudden loud sounds, such as sirens or construction noise, helping protect your hearing and ensuring a safer listening experience.
3. Head Gestures for Calls & Messages
Answer calls or reply to texts without touching your phone. By simply nodding, you can accept, or by shaking your head, you can decline—offering a smooth, hands-free way to stay connected.
4. Smarter Gemini Live Conversations
Thanks to advanced audio processing, Gemini Live now filters out background chatter, allowing your voice to stay crystal clear—even in crowded or noisy places. This ensures seamless interactions wherever you are.
Update Availability
The update will install automatically when your Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are paired with a Pixel or Android device running Android 6.0 or later. The download takes about 10 minutes, and the installation completes once the earbuds are placed in their charging case with enough power.
