Islamabad, Jan 27: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has reaffirmed his government’s dedication to ensuring economic stability, promoting commerce, and making Pakistan a progressive and thriving nation. Speaking at the inauguration of the Six-star Movenpick Hotel in Islamabad on Monday, he emphasized that Pakistan is on a path to economic growth and prosperity.
The Prime Minister expressed pride in the launch of the state-of-the-art international hotel, highlighting it as a significant milestone for the country. He commended the Centaurus Group for their contributions to nation-building and thanked Movenpick for introducing world-class hospitality in Pakistan.
In his address, Shehbaz Sharif assured the government’s commitment to improving the ease of doing business and facilitating trade to foster economic revival. He pointed out the growth in exports, especially in the IT sector, and outlined the government’s vision for economic development across key sectors such as agriculture, industry, IT, and mining.

Notably, the Prime Minister highlighted that inflation is below 5%, and exports are on the rise, attributing these positive outcomes to the government’s prudent policies. He also mentioned the government’s efforts to reduce electricity rates, which will bolster the industrial, agricultural, and export sectors.
In terms of fiscal discipline, the Prime Minister spoke about ongoing efforts to downsizing and rightsizing government institutions to reduce expenditures. He also invited Pakistani investors to participate in the privatization of PIA, ensuring a transparent bidding process.
Further, the Prime Minister assured that efforts to remove obstacles to foreign investment are underway and that initiatives to improve the ease of doing business will be launched soon. He concluded by expressing confidence that, through collective efforts, Pakistan will emerge as a great nation.
