Islamabad, Dec 7: In addition to congratulating the country on the weekly inflation rate (Sensitive Price Index, or SPI) continuing to decline to 3.57 percent, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif reaffirmed the government’s commitment to policies aimed at reviving the economy on Saturday.
The prime minister claimed that inflation had fallen to its lowest point in the previous six years thanks to the work of the economic team and the blessings of Allah Almighty.According to a press statement from the PM Office Media Wing, the prime minister stated that today was the lowest level the price index had reached since October 4, 2018.
The economic team’s diligent efforts resulted in a noteworthy 39.11% drop in inflation this week compared to the same period last year. He also stated that he was still dedicated to keeping all of his promises to the populace.
“I had promised to work around the clock to lessen the people’s suffering.”As the servant of Pakistan, I stand by every commitment I have made,” he repeated. The prime minister declared that measures were being taken to boost foreign investment, encourage industrial growth, and create jobs.
He claimed that after attaining economic stability, the nation was making quick progress and that Pakistan’s success was reflected in the rise in remittances, the expansion of foreign investment from friendly nations, and the fortification of diplomatic ties.
Since all parties involved were contributing positively to this path of advancement and success, the prime minister believed that their political sacrifices for the nation’s growth and prosperity had not been in vain.
