ISLAMABAD, March 10: Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) has begun a complete redesign of its rules and regulations framework with Public Procurement Rules, 2004 keeping a target of elite global standards. It is also overhauling its staff training and modernization.
MD PPRA has advised the PPRA Board that in compliance with the mandates of the Prime Minister, a global expert was contracted to survey the entire set of rules of the Authority and its Public Procurement Rules, 2004.
The expert shared the edited draft of renewed set of Public Procurement Rules, 2025 which have been looked into by the PPRA staff and indigenous experts in keeping country’s laws in perspective.
The comparison of existing Public Procurement Rules, draft of Rules 2025 arranged by the global experts and draft of Rules 2025 organized by the specialist was sent recently to the PPRA Board in its 88th, 89th, 90th and 91st Board meeting.
