Islamabad, Dec 13: Daler Jumma, Tajikistan’s Minister of Energy visited Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the PM House on Friday and spoke about issues that both parties could agree on. CASA-1000 and other regional connectivity projects were discussed during the meeting. Both parties committed to increase collaboration in areas like energy, education, agriculture, and communications, especially land-based connectivity.
To take part in the Pakistan-Tajikistan Joint Commission, the Tajik minister is traveling to Pakistan. During the Joint Commission, the prime minister welcomed Jumma to Pakistan and conveyed his satisfaction with the advancements in bilateral cooperation between the two nations in a number of fields.
The prime minister sent Tajik President Emomali Rahmon his best wishes and said he hoped the president would come to Pakistan soon, recalling his trip to Tajikistan and his recent meetings with Rahmon in Baku and Riyadh.
He conveyed his satisfaction with the agreements and memorandums of understanding (MOUs) signed during his visit and underlined that prompt execution of these agreements would improve bilateral ties even further. The Tajik minister underlined the significance of strengthening ties and collaboration between the two nations and thanked the premier for the cordial welcome and hospitality.
Additionally, Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Ministers Abdul Aleem Khan of Investment and Communications, Ahad Khan Cheema of Economic Affairs, and Awais Ahmed Leghari of Energy attended the meeting.
