PM Shehbaz stated that literacy was a vital human right and a constitutional guarantee of the nation’s prosperity in his speech on International Literacy Day.
Universal Education Every year on September 8, we commemorate Literacy Day to raise awareness among legislators of the vital role that literacy plays in society. “Promoting multilingual education: Literacy for mutual understanding and peace” is this year’s topic of the day.
According to the premier, literacy is more than just being able to read and write; it’s a key to self-determination, career options, and social engagement.
The speaker emphasized that education is the foundation of society and added, “Today, we reaffirm our commitment to advancing the education agenda, striving for a more informed and sustainable nation.
” We have started midday meals for kids in schools, started an enrollment drive for students, and proclaimed an emergency in education across the nation in order to achieve this goal.”
