Islamabad, May 26, 2025: PM Shehbaz Sharif has authorized a significant amendment mandating yearly medical check-ups for all federal government employees at grade 17 and higher, according to official sources.
According to the new regulation, these health evaluations will be fundamental in decisions related to the continuation, training, nominations, and promotions of officers. The policy aims to facilitate early identification of health concerns while assessing officers’ suitability for advanced responsibilities and specialized training programs.
After the Prime Minister’s endorsement, the Establishment Division has issued instructions to all federal ministries, divisions, and provincial administrations for immediate execution of the directive.
