Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday received a condolence call from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who expressed solidarity with Pakistan in the wake of devastating floods across several regions of the country.

President Erdogan extended his sympathies over the loss of lives and damage to property, assuring that Türkiye was ready to provide all possible assistance, including rescue and relief support.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked the Turkish leader for his kind sentiments and generous offer of help, noting that the gesture reflected the deep-rooted and time-tested brotherly relations between Pakistan and Türkiye. He emphasized that both nations have consistently supported one another during times of hardship.

The two leaders also recalled their recent meetings earlier this year and expressed hope to meet again on the sidelines of the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China.
