Islamabad, Feb 9: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is set to embark on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from February 10 to 11, attending the prestigious World Governments Summit (WGS) 2025 in Dubai. The visit comes at the invitation of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, according to the Foreign Office.
The World Governments Summit, scheduled from February 11 to 13, will host over 30 heads of state and delegates from 140 countries. The event serves as a global platform for leaders, policymakers, and business executives to discuss governance, innovation, and international cooperation.
This marks PM Shehbaz’s second trip to the UAE since assuming office in March 2024. Accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, the visit highlights Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its ties with the UAE and other global stakeholders.
During the summit, PM Shehbaz will deliver a keynote address outlining Pakistan’s vision for inclusive economic growth, digital transformation, and governance reforms. Additionally, he will hold bilateral meetings with UAE leadership and engage with world leaders and top executives from multinational corporations.
