Islamabad, 5 June 2025: Saudi Arabia will welcome Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on an official two-day visit beginning June 5, coinciding with the Muslim festival of Eid ul-Adha.

The diplomatic engagement comes as both nations seek to expand cooperation across economic, regional, and religious dimensions.

According to a statement released by Pakistan’s Foreign Office, the prime minister will be accompanied by a senior-level delegation during his trip to the Kingdom.

During his stay in Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Sharif is scheduled to meet Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

Talks between the two leaders will center on deepening economic ties, boosting investment flows, and enhancing collaboration on broader issues impacting the Muslim world.

The discussions are also expected to address recent regional tensions, including efforts to maintain stability in South Asia.

Officials say Prime Minister Sharif intends to personally convey Pakistan’s appreciation for Riyadh’s mediating role in easing strains between Islamabad and New Delhi.

This visit highlights the enduring relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, one built on shared religious values, strategic trust, and long-standing mutual support.

The two countries have traditionally maintained close diplomatic and defense ties, with economic engagement increasingly becoming a core pillar of bilateral relations.

A key agenda item includes aligning Pakistan’s development goals with Riyadh’s ambitious Vision 2030 plan a blueprint to diversify the Saudi economy beyond oil.

The Pakistani leadership views the visit as an opportunity to unlock new avenues for collaboration in infrastructure, energy, and workforce development.
