Islamabad, Nov 11: PM to Address Arab-Islamic Summit Today, Urging Gaza Ceasefire and End to Genocide. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is prepared to speak at the second Joint Arab-Islamic Summit taking place today, which was called to address the situation resulting from the increasing violence in Palestinian and Lebanese territories, particularly in light of the harsh Israeli attacks.
Accompanied by members of his cabinet, the prime minister arrived on Sunday night to participate in the meeting, where he will express Pakistan’s stance on Israel’s brutality in Gaza, Palestine, and surrounding areas.
This Summit follows a preparatory session held by the Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) on Sunday, which was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar.
Leaders and senior officials from the Arab League and the OIC member states are taking part in this event. During the Summit, the prime minister will urge for an immediate halt to the genocide occurring in Gaza; an urgent and unconditional ceasefire; and an end to the ongoing Israeli actions in the region that jeopardize the security of Middle Eastern nations.
He will also push for the provision of international protection for the Palestinian populace and the establishment of an independent State of Palestine, based on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif designated as its capital.
On the sidelines of the Summit, Prime Minister Shehbaz is anticipated to engage in bilateral discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Investment Minister Khalid A. Al-Falih and the Secretary General of the Muslim World League, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-ssa.
