Islamabad, Feb 6: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is set to inaugurate the Business Facilitation Center (BFC) in Islamabad this month, aiming to streamline business operations across the country. The Board of Investment (BoI) has signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with all federal departments to simplify business-related services for entrepreneurs and enterprises in Pakistan.
The establishment of the Model Business Facilitation Center was ordered by the Prime Minister in June 2024 to integrate various federal agencies through an automated system. This initiative will allow businesses to submit applications, process requests, and obtain Required Licenses, Certificates, and Other Approvals (RLCOs) under one roof.

The primary goal of the BFC is to create a seamless experience for entrepreneurs by centralizing essential services, reducing bureaucratic delays, and fostering efficiency in business operations.
The Islamabad BFC will function as a unified service hub, ensuring a streamlined approval process for businesses. It will bring together multiple government entities to facilitate a more coordinated approach, thereby enhancing transparency and accountability. Entrepreneurs will benefit from reduced waiting times, improved ease of doing business, and a more structured inter-agency collaboration to ensure the timely delivery of essential approvals.
According to sources, the Islamabad BFC will manage 341 different RLCOs spanning 22 ministries and 41 departments. Each relevant department will assign dedicated experts to the facility, ensuring businesses receive accurate guidance and efficient service. This integration of services under one platform is expected to significantly enhance Pakistan’s business climate, fostering increased investment and economic growth.
With the launch of the Business Facilitation Center, the government aims to create a business-friendly environment by eliminating unnecessary hurdles and making the regulatory process more efficient. The initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader vision to improve its ease of doing business ranking and attract both local and international investors.
The BFC will revolutionize business operations with a transparent, efficient, and accountable system.
