ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 17: KARACHI: Beginning on Saturday night, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that Karachi would get another round of monsoon rains. The weather prediction states that “the city will receive sporadic light to heavy rainfall from this evening till Monday.”
The Met Office stated that “the rainfall to hit various areas of the city from the evening today.”
In the city, the current monsoon spell will last for three days.
In the city, the lowest recorded temperature was 28°C, while the highest temperature is predicted to reach 32°C.
According to the meteorological service, there is 77% humidity and winds gusting across the city at 10 km/h.
In the districts of Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tharparkar, Mirpur Khas, Umarkot, Sanghar, Sakhar, Ghotki, Shikarpur, Kashmore, Khairpur, Naushehro Feroz, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, Larkana, and Jacobabad in Sindh, the Met Office also predicted rainfall with wind/thunderstorm (with a few heavy falls).
Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz had earlier stated that monsoon winds are expected to arrive in lower Sindh on August 16 and that rain may fall in Karachi from August 17 to August 19.
He stated that Karachi may anticipate “mostly moderate rain with thundershowers” and that “there may be heavy rain at some areas.
