Islamabad, June 20, 2025: The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has officially released new updates regarding the upcoming MDCAT 2025, introducing significant changes for medical aspirants across the country and abroad.
According to the official notification, candidates will now be allowed to appear in the MDCAT 2025 test only within their province or region of domicile. This rule aims to streamline the examination process and enhance fairness by ensuring students appear from their home regions. Candidates are urged to strictly follow this rule to avoid disqualification.
Another major update is the revision of the eligibility criteria for MBBS and BDS admissions. Starting from the 2025-2026 session, students must secure at least 65% marks in F.Sc (Pre-Medical) or equivalent to apply for medical and dental programs across Pakistan. This decision is aligned with PMDC’s mission to improve the quality of healthcare professionals in the country.
For Pakistani students residing abroad, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will be the only international test center for MDCAT 2025. Students in other countries are advised to plan their travel accordingly if they wish to appear in the test from outside Pakistan.
The official MDCAT 2025 syllabus is already available on the PMDC website (www.pmdc.pk). All students are encouraged to download the curriculum and prepare accordingly.
For further details and timely updates, students should regularly visit the official PMDC website and avoid relying on unofficial sources.
