Islamabad, Sep 26: Romina Khurshid Alam, the prime minister’s coordinator for environmental coordination and climate change, has emphasized the significance of youth involvement in combating climate change, seeing it as a critical issue for the survival of future generations.
Speaking at an event on Wednesday at Aiwan-e-Iqbal about the COP simulation held here, she urged young people to become involved in order to promote environmental stewardship in Pakistan in a proactive manner. She emphasized that in order to effectively address the issues raised by environmental degradation, it is critical to develop a compelling narrative around climate preservation. “Our youth’s participation is not only beneficial it is essential,” she declared, pleading for group initiatives to educate adolescents about the requirements of the climate.
The PM organizer thanked the media for playing a crucial role in raising awareness of climate-related concerns, pointing out that the attendance of representatives from major TV stations at the event demonstrated how urgent the subject is Pakistan is sixth among the nations most vulnerable to climate change, according to Romina Alam, which emphasizes the need for effective and realistic environmental policies.
She was upbeat about the country’s possibilities and referred to the kids as the “future of Pakistan.” She clarified that COP simulations were being held around the country to involve youth and that the Conference of the Parties acts as an international forum for debating and adopting action plans to address climate change.
The PM coordinated on all parties involved to work together to overcome the nation’s present obstacles in the pursuit of growth and prosperity. She said that the government is actively trying to educate students in different educational institutions about their obligations toward climate change in answer to a question. For better and more efficient outcomes, she noted, coordination with all provinces was also in progress.
At the end of the program, Muhammad Hadid Ali, Minahil Chaudhry, Nosher Bilal, Muhammad Rehan, and Muhammad Numan were among the exceptional student participants who received diplomas acknowledging their accomplishments and contributions.
