Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis, Chaudhry Salik Hussain, held a meeting with Poland’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Maciej Pisarski, to explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly in the area of Poland jobs for Pakistani workers.

According to an official statement, both sides agreed to strengthen collaboration to create more employment opportunities for Pakistanis in Poland. The minister highlighted that Pakistan exported goods worth $450 million to Poland last year, mainly in textiles, leather, and sports sectors.

The Polish envoy, while expressing condolences over the loss of life and property in recent floods, assured that employment opportunities exist in Poland. He added that strict measures were in place to stop illegal immigration.

The report also mentioned that Poland’s Foreign Minister is expected to visit Pakistan in October, where several Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) are likely to be signed.

Hussain noted that in the past year alone, 742,000 Pakistanis went abroad for employment, placing Pakistan fourth globally in workforce exports. He added that Pakistan has already launched successful pilot projects with Korea and Japan, and similar opportunities are being discussed for Poland jobs as well.
