ISLAMABAD – June 27, 2025: The President of Pakistan has officially finalized the seniority list of judges serving at the Islamabad High Court (IHC), following the Supreme Court’s directive issued on June 19, 2025. The notification, released by the Ministry of Law and Justice and published in the Gazette of Pakistan, establishes the inter se seniority of twelve judges currently posted at the IHC.
According to the notification (No. F.10(2)/2024-A.II), the seniority list is as follows:
- Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar
- Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani
- Justice Miangul Hassan Aurangzeb
- Justice Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri
- Justice Babar Sattar
- Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan
- Justice Arbab Muhammad Tahir
- Justice Saman Rafat Imtiaz
- Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro
- Justice Muhammad Azam Khan
- Justice Muhammad Asif
- Justice Inaam Ameen Minhas
In addition to the finalized seniority list, the President has also approved the permanent transfers of three judges to the Islamabad High Court. The judges transferred on a permanent basis are:
- Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar
- Justice Khadim Hussain Soomro
- Justice Muhammad Asif
