Islamabad, Mar 9 2025: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Reviews Huawei’s ICT Initiative for 300000 Pakistani Youth Training. A delegation from Huawei Technologies attended a high-level meeting to discuss initiatives aimed at equipping Pakistan’s youth with cutting-edge digital skills and advanced training in the IT sector.
The meeting focused on reviewing the progress of agreements signed with Huawei Technologies in China last year and explored ways to accelerate their implementation.
Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the vital role of young people in driving the digital revolution and technological advancements in Pakistan.
He reiterated the government’s commitment to providing maximum support in enabling the youth with modern skills essential for the fast-evolving digital economy.
During the meeting, Huawei representatives reaffirmed their dedication to launching a comprehensive ICT training program in Pakistan.

As part of this initiative, the company will train young professionals in artificial intelligence (AI), cybersecurity, cloud computing, and other emerging technologies to enhance their employability and boost the country’s IT exports.
The Prime Minister was briefed that the training program will benefit 300000 Pakistani youth Training through online learning, significantly expanding access to world-class technical education.
To formally launch this initiative, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will inaugurate the ICT training portal, ensuring a structured and accessible learning platform for aspiring IT professionals.
Huawei Technologies has already provided training to 20,315 students, focusing on upskilling individuals working in the ICT sector, including students and trainers.
Under the program, master trainers receiving instruction from Huawei will, in turn, train young professionals at the local level, creating a multiplier effect in the country’s digital skills ecosystem.
The Prime Minister directed authorities to expedite the execution of IT training projects and ensure the ICT training portal reaches the widest possible audience.
He also instructed officials to extend the initiative to Baltistan, further broadening the program’s impact across Pakistan.
