The government has extended the Hajj registration deadline, giving another chance to private scheme pilgrims who could not perform the pilgrimage last year. The extension was announced after floods disrupted the registration process for many applicants.

According to sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, registration is ongoing through the ministry’s official portal. Private operators have been allowed to accept new applications against the leftover quota. However, those who previously withdrew their deposited money will not be eligible to travel under last year’s package.

So far, around 21,000 pilgrims have completed their registration. Earlier, the deadline for private scheme pilgrims was set for September 8, but now it has been extended to accommodate those affected by the floods.
